Crude oil is an equivalent term used for product of petroleum that includes a wide assortment of materials. This may consists of mixtures of hydrocarbons and other compounds as well and this contains variable amounts of sulfur, nitrogen, and oxygen etc. Such material which is used in crude oil may have volatility, specific gravity and viscosity. Because crude oil is a mixture of widely varying constituents that exist in different proportions, the physical properties of crude oil as a whole may vary widely in characterstics and the color form. The applications and usage of crude oil is quite wide and it is significantly used in social and environmental segments. The usage may vary in different field and this may include: 

• Accidents and routine activities which may include impact of crude oil which is limited to seismic exploration and drilling.

• Crude oil is also used in subterranean and submarine reservoirs for extraction.

• Crude oil and refined fuel spills from tanker ship accidents have damaged fragile ecosystems.

• Crude oil products are also used in oil refineries and industrial segments. It also contributes in manufacturing of products like Base oil Sn500 and other essential base oil products.

• Its application is also in internal combustion engine. 

 Considering the composition of crude oil and crude oil products, it is worth understanding that the application may vary as per the composition it has when it was made. Just like Base oil sn150 it has strong properties which makes it widely used in different segments. However it is believed that the usage of crude oil may cause generation of pollutant in environment but when controlled it can be reduced and can be used in variety of useful purposes.
